A section of pipework that forms a ring around a factory. It is feed by a line from the compressor
an can have drop legs and branch legs off it. Compressed air will travel in both directions around
the ring main depending on where the greatest demand is. This is a good way of installing pipework
as it creates significantly less pressure drop compared to a similar length branch line.
