Foreign matter found in compressed air including particulate, oil and water. Particulate enters the compressed air as air borne dirt, metalic particles from wearing parts and rust from metal pipelines. Oil enters the compressed air from lubricants used in the compressor. Water enters the compressed air as condensate when the temperature of the compressed air drops.
